Go To Yarn for Amigurumi

Love these Unreal Chenille yarns. I’ve been using them to make amigurumi. Easy to make MR with, very minimal shedding, comes in so many colours & oh… so soft.

Decent yarn

As others have said it's not as soft as it's described. I definitely wouldn't use the phrase "soft as butter".
That said it's still nice to work with and works well to make amigurumi.
Not as chunky as other chenille yarns but I've been looking for something a bit thinner for awhile.
Good variety of colours but I'd love a few more browns, pinks and purples.
Best part is it's doesn't snap easily when sewing parts and it doesn't shed at all!

Pretty good

Saw an ad for this yarn and decided to try it.

Pros: I was aware it would be quite small but was actually a little bigger than what I was expecting. The colours match the pictures perfectly. I pulled and tugged on this yarn and I can confirm definitely no shed - super happy!

Cons: The yarn isn't as soft as I was expecting. It's not bad, just a little rough which makes it a bit difficult to work with as my hook doesn't glide through as easily. While I love chuppa chupps, mine was put in the end of the yarn, resulting in the sticker sticking to the yarn. It took a little work but I got it out, along with ripping off some of the yarn... I wouldn't recommend that. The yarn is a bit more plushie, not plush. It's hard to see stitches.

Overall, I'm very happy with this yarn. If I can figure out a way to to use it without being rough then I would definitely order again

Sturdy but not as soft as other chenille yarn

This yarn was good and the shipping was super quick.
I was using this yarn along with premier basix chenille and Bernat blanket to complete my amigurumi project. It wasn't interchangeable with these brands as the unreal chenille is slightly thinner and not as soft and fluffy.
The strands on their own feel soft but once worked up in an amigurumi it looses it's soft feel.

Overall it was a good purchase and there is a nice range of colours but I think I'll stick with the softer feeling chenille for future amigurumi projects. ☺️
The skin tone in this picture is unreal chenille and the others are mill-ends: unknown brand.

Happy with this yarn. I bought one skein as a sample and would definitely buy more. It has a firm, but soft feel and if necessary to frog, it doesn’t grip or tangle. If you’re using it for amigurumi you may wish to adjust your hook size, depending on your tensionThere’s a great colour range and my order arrived within a few days.
