I selected Cornille for a project based on the strength of the reviews and because I wanted to support a small Australian label and I am so glad that I did. The quality outstrips all other chenille yarns that I have used and it is a pleasure to work with. The big Snorlax Plushy that my son requested for his birthday is coming along very quickly. The shipping was very quick and the colours true to the photos on the webpage.
I made a crotched flower blanket for a friend with this yarn and it turned out so cut and so easy to use. Definitely going to use in future projects. Highly recommend.
I love the Cornille yarn. I bought some to make some plushies, because a lot of the chenille I’ve tried at the big chain stores keeps snapping and shedding like crazy. This glides like butter over my hooks, and it’s surprisingly easy to see my stitches with it. And it’s so soft too. But I can’t compare it to the SOF chenille because I haven’t tried that yet, because I’m too obsessed with the cornille. I’m hoping some new colours get released eventually!
I have made many plushies and amigurumi using chenille yarn and have loved that yarn. I bought Cornille to compare it with my other yarn. Cornille is lovely to work with, does not shed like the other brands (that is a plus) and my first two bear snugglers, came out so soft and cuddly. I used 5.5mm hook for pink one and 6.5mm hook for the blue one. I am excited to try other colours.
Recently finished a blanket for our bed using the Flannel, Haze & Snowfall colours and absolutely adored the way the yarn just slid off the hook. It’s very quick and comfortable to work up and couldn’t be happier with the result! Still needs to be washed and blocked, but looking forward to using it for many winter nights to come!
